Florida Gastroenterologic Society’s Distinguished Service Award
Honors a Florida Gastroenterologist whose accomplishments (clinical, academic, educational, socioeconomic and humanitarian) made a significant contribution to Gastroenterology within the state. The first award was presented during the 1990 Annual Meeting.
James L. Borland, Sr., Memorial Award
A Lectureship, honoring the founding father of the Florida Gastroenterologic Society. It is presented at the Society’s Annual Meeting. The lecture reviews a specific area of gastroenterology and is given by a nationally-known authority on the chosen subject.
